Ethics Committee (ECA)
Upholding professional ethics and standards
The Ethics Committee and Advisory (ECA) is tasked with upholding the highest standards of professional ethics within the pharmacy profession. The committee handles ethical complaints, provides guidance on professional conduct, and promotes ethical awareness among all PST members.
Committee Functions
- Develop and review the Code of Ethics for pharmacists
- Investigate complaints of professional misconduct
- Conduct disciplinary hearings and recommend sanctions
- Provide ethical guidance and advisory opinions
- Organize ethics awareness campaigns and training
- Liaise with the Pharmacy Council on regulatory matters
- Promote best practices in pharmaceutical ethics
